Local Libraries

CBU students, faculty, and staff may borrow books from select local academic libraries with whom we have consortial borrowing agreements as part of Plough Library's membership in Memphis Area Library Council (MALC). We also participate in a partnership with Tennessee Libraries called TALC.

How it works:

  • Use WorldCat Discovery to find books in area libraries.
  • Present your CBU identification card when you visit these libraries.
  • Most libraries will require you to fill out a form, and they will issue you a temporary library card for their library.
  • When borrowing from other libraries, you are subject to their policies.

Interlibrary Loan

If you need a book or article that Plough Library does not have and it is not available at a local library, CBU students, faculty, and staff may request it through our Interlibrary Loan service. Please see the Interlibrary Loan page for more information.
